After a few marital problems, Carol Fleming heads to an art gallery, where she spots and identical twin, she is approached by her friend Douglas Monaghan to take part in some experiments.
Sea of Souls is a show I had long since forgotten about, but I chanced upon a dvd of it in a charity shop, very strong memories came back.
In 2004 we were starved of anything even remotes science fiction based, but this show landed well, lasted a few series, and struck a cord.
It's a very good start, a fascinating storyline, what are the chances, but now on Earth would someone feel being out and about, and bumping into a carbon copy of themself? A thought provoking concept.
Douglas, Megan and Andrew all make a good start, but the main story is so good, that they're perhaps a little sidelines somewhat.
I thought Siobhan Redmond did an absolutely cracking job with the two parts, Helen and Carol were different enough. Some decent effects, only a couple of scenes of a woman's back in a wig facing Carol (straight out of Murder, she wrote) but not too many.
Great start, 9/10.
