Kali is summoned to a tribal summit, but when she arrives, she finds some visitors were attacked by masked enemies. A holy place, a cube-shaped rock, which was always shared by 4 tribes, is now claimed by one tribe exclusively, since they think they are most powerful warriors, so the symbol of power should belong to them. The country's ruler N'Gama traditionally keeps out of tribal affairs ('these things happen, best let them work it out'), so the rangers and the army will not respond to requests for help. Kali prefers a solution without violence, anyway, and rejects the offer of one of the other tribes to join in battle. Sheena thinks about a radical solution meanwhile that nobody approves...
