On a mission to the border
unbrokenmetal29 March 2014
A friend of Sheena is killed by a big bomb explosion. The responsible terrorist is hiding in the neighboring country. Thus Sheena and dictator N'Gama exceptionally pursue the same interests, namely peace by restoring the usual order. The CIA sends 2 agents including Tyler (Peter Onorati), a former comrade of Cutter. Tyler, Cutter and Sheena take some of N'Gama's soldiers on a dangerous mission to the border.

Good action-packed story with the great premise of former enemies working together towards a common goal – and former friends facing treason. 'The woman looks familiar', the leader of the soldiers wonders when he sees Sheena, but Tyler assures him that all jungle blonds look the same. N'Gama negotiating with an equally suspicious leader of another country is special treat, too. The fight scenes featuring the Darak'na once again kept me on the edge of my seat.

Return Of The Changed Premise

Onorati returns in his buddy role, which (as before) means Quigley isn't needed, so that's already a minus for losing the most fun character. On the other hand, Jim Coleman is always a worthwhile addition, so that makes an even balance.

You know when your episode has people shouting their explanations/rationales at each other, you've transported into Action Flick reality. So you really shouldn't be surprised when just about anybody can do anything, giving whatever rationale, making any demand, and changing anything required by the necessary plot point. This is one of those episodes. Strong acting helps the stock plotting, but I would have preferred better (continuing) use of the Tyler character, that was less dependent on good actors being tense with each other.
