How You Gonna Keep em Down on the Farm
Hitchcoc23 February 2019
A man is trying to make ends meet, but can't seem to keep his farm from going under. Meanwhile, his sort of plain wife is having an affair with a hired hand, who has sort of taken over the work. There is a group of men in the town who have some sort of violent agenda. It appears that the IRA may be at the center of their comings and goings. Sam is weighing giving up her position and taking a full professorship in forensics, after a visit from her professor. There is, however, on other thing that is pulling her back in.

Slow, confusing with too many story lines

This is the first episode of the series that's bored me. It's as usual well crafted but it meanders a little too much, detracting from the central plot. Something doesn't seem right throughout as if the actors are going through the motions.

A fairly good first episode.

Was it an accident or not? Did Phil jump into his own Combine Harvester? Or was he given a helping hand?

As with the first two from this series, I thought this was a little below par. I can understand that someone in Phil's place could do something a little drastic, but with a Combine Harvester? They need a Detective to suspect foul play? The army scenes at the very beginning were interesting, and intriguing, but we got little more, this was mostly a domestic story. Sam once again ends up entangled with The Detective, it won't end well.

Ben Daniels is almost unrecognisable, normally so sauve, he looks rough as.

Solid. 7/10
