Prescient

Warning: Spoilers
Sideshow Bob Roberts is a parody of Tim Robbins' 1992 satirical mockumentary film, Bob Roberts, but in a way Sideshow Bob Roberts was quite prescient and then some with with what's going on and all. Anyway, here Sideshow Bob runs for mayor and believe it or not, he wins, but we now there are some shenanigans at play and Bart and Lisa work overtime to uncover the scandal and all init.

For me in my humble opinion it's the first 10 seasons that are the golden era of The Simpsons, and Sideshow Bob Roberts I'm pleased to say is part of the golden era. It's hard to believe this episode debuted 30 years ago.

Out and Then In

Sideshow Bob is out of jail again and once again sets his sights on Bart who put him there. He enters politics and is soon the mayor of Springfield. Of course he builds a highway right where the Simpsons' house is. Bart and Lisa join forces to counteract his power.

I like the twist at the end where they found out that dead people had been used to boost the election numbers. They even used Lisa's cat to vote for sideshow bob.
