Battle Royale

Warning: Spoilers
The second segment of Treehouse of Horror XVI (16 for those who aren't familiar with roman numerals) was spot-on for a parody of Battle Royale, and also double standards about violence and intimate scenes censorship and what we are willing to see and what we are willing to see censored.

Even though I prefer the golden era of the first 10 years, I am still willing to watch any Treehouse of Horror beyond the golden years of The Simpsons.

The ice-cream scene in the first segment of Treehouse of Horror XVI was hilarious for sure.

I envy the imdb reviewers who posted reviews before the minimum character limit.

It was good

The treehouse of horror xvi in my opinion was good and it even played the same calm music from the treehouse of horror xix from the year of 2008 even though both of share the same ending during the credits and it is very calm and it kinda sounds like a mix of sadness and horror.

Tree house XVI

In the opening act, Kang and Kodos are watching a baseball game, eagerly awaiting The Simpsons, when they decide to fast-forward time, they accidentally cause a suction, causing the whole universe to implode.

In "B.I : Bartifical Intelligence", Bart accidentally falls out the window and Selma and Patties apartment, causing him to be placed in a coma. When he reawakens, he finds he has been replaced by a robot. When Homer ditches him in the woods, Bart finds a society of robots. During the middle of the night, he steals their parts. When he returns home, he kills his replacement, and bisects Homer, he gets his place back in the family.

In "Survival of the Fattest", Homer and some of the other men of Springfield are invited to Mr. Burn's mansion for a good old fashion hunting trip. But, they soon find out, they will be the hunted. They all make a run for the woods, one by one, the men fall. When Homer seeks refuge in a tree, he accidentally falls out of the tree, he purples the men out of the tree, killing them on impact, except Moe, who survives the fall, only to be crushed to death by Chief Wiggum. Homer makes it until morning, where Smither's and Burn's catch up with him, only to be subdued of Marge and her frying pan.

Finally, in "I've Grown a Costume on Your Face", the people of Springfield are cursed to transform in their costumes, some like it, some want their normal lives back, but when Maggie turns out to be a witch, she turns everyone into pacifiers.

The episode was hilarious, I especially liked "Survival of the Fastest", I give the episode a 10/10!

Not the best of the Treehouse Series, but not bad either

The Treehouse of Horror series in the Simpsons show tells 3 horror-inspired tales in time for Halloween each year.

"Bartificial Intelligence" has a comatose Bart placed in a hospital and his position in the family filled by a robot in a riff of A.I. Bart exacts his revenge in a bloody and funny way. There is a mini spoof of The Exorcist right after this.

"Survival of the Fattest" is the best of these three tales. It has Burns hunting the Simpsons characters on his property similar to The Most Dangerous Game. The highlight is when Burns kills Apu who laughs and says, "You cannot kill a Hindu." He is then reincarnated as a rabbit only to get stuck in a bear trap and beg Jesus for help.

"I've Grown a Costume on your Face" has everyone in Springfield turned into their Halloween costumes by a witch and only Maggie can break the spell. This one was only about 3 minutes long and ended abruptly with a mediocre resolution.

Bottom Line: Not the best of the Treehouse series.

Rating: 5.5/10
