Warning: Spoilers
While investigating the disappearance of Chloe Sullivan in the crime scene, Clark Kent and Lois Lane are attacked by men in a helicopter. Lois decides to dig Chloe's grave and finds that there in no corpse in the coffin, and she is attacked by a man with a weird power. Lana Lang returns to Smallville trying to find an explanation for the symbol in her back and saves Lois. Lionel threatens Lex, but he is stabbed by another criminal. Clark and Lois find that General Sam Lane (Michael Ironside) is working with Lex Luthor and together they are protecting Chloe.

The best thing to see in this episode was Lionel Luthor convicted by the jury and sent to prison. Lana Lang and Chloe Sullivan are back to Smallville, and the friendship of Lex and Clark seems to be really over. My vote is seven.

The Search for Chloe
Rcwilkinson1234 December 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Clark, after x-raying Chloe's grave, is convinced that Chloe is not dead, and with Chloe's cousin Lois is on the search for her in this fairly decent episode.

Clark and Lois go to the exploded house where Chloe and her father were when they are attacked by a U.S. military helicopters and two troops. They have trouble finding where she is until Lois' father Sam, an army general, arrives to tell them that he and Lex Luthor are protecting Chloe and her father from Lionel, keeping them hidden where Lionel's hired assassin, a meteor freak who can extend his hands into metal weapons, cannot find them.

This episode makes you wonder where Chloe's father is when Clark and Lois find her, but ultimately this plot continuity does not matter. It was not surprising that Lois and Clark find Chloe; the real surprise lies at the end of "Crusade" when Clark sees no body in Chloe's coffin.

Warning: Spoilers
By using his heat vision after Lois used that Ghostbuster weapon she picked up out of nowhere, he killed off that angry metallic T-1000 guy by blowing him up....way to go, Clark! Still great episode!

The new character of Lois takes the show into a level of comedy, unfortunately. IMO
