Episode 65 begins with Burt's decision to run for sheriff because he wants to clean up the town,with an incredulous Mary failing to dissuade him(and an excited Danny begging to be his deputy).To represent him in his custody battle with Carol,Jodie hires her former employer,E.Ronald Mallu(Eugene Roche),the attorney who defended Jessica during her murder trial,who remains obsessed with Jessica(cancelling his upcoming marriage)while revealing the impossibility of winning a custody case against the mother(his father told him "winning isn't everything,but losing sucks!") The Major gets into trouble with Mr.Teshumado(John Fujioka),owner of the Tokyo Gardens Japanese restaurant,for his habit of holding his wait staff hostage.Dr.Posner visits the Tates,meeting Corinne and Dutch(both in love),Burt(in campaign mode),Chester(begging his wife to again take him back),and Leslie,who fears that Billy has left her(The Major mistakes her for Eleanor Roosevelt!) Dr.Posner ends up believing that he could open an office there.
