Another story of How the West Was Won.

Warning: Spoilers
This is a western about Homesteader John Ireland who along with his wife (Joy Page) claimed 16 acres of unclaimed land and threatened by the Cattle Baron's who were claiming the land for themselves. It turns into an all-out war between Ireland and these bullies who has already forced out other homesteaders, and this is the first time anyone's ever remained behind and fought against them. Even the local store keepers try to overcharge them, threatened by the cattle barons if they don't. An interesting western melodrama that deals with right versus might, and right continues to fight even though there are more of them than him, he's determined, even though his wife wants to give in and leave. While it's admirable to see Ireland fight for what he believes in, it's hard to believe that it is resolved so simply. Interesting from a historical aspect of probably what many homesteaders had to deal with, and probably how many great ranches were formulated.
