Too Old to Trick or Treat, Too Young to Die (#3.4)

Warning: Spoilers
This is a Halloween episode that is also a tribute to Hitchcock. Fez breaks his leg and wants to see naked Midge from the room he is staying. He then thinks that Bob killed her. Kitty has to feed neighbor's birds and gets scared so she tries to make Laurie feed them but she gets pooped on. Kelso has problems with the Forman paperboy. Donna is worried Eric is bored by her and he has some vertigo problems.

This is an awesome episode. I think it is great even for people who didn't watch Hitchcock's movies but if one saw them it is so much better. I especially loved Rear Window. Fez is already great on his own dressed up as a character from Rocky Horror picture show. And how they follow the Rear Window story line is also great. I love how Hyde went to Bob and Midge's place and moons Fez. And how Bob notices the beers at the window and sees Fez.

I also loved the Psycho reference. How Laurie beats Kelso in the shower and then flushes the toilet. Perfect.

Hitchcockian Deja Vu

Warning: Spoilers
The episode has some great Hitchcock call backs like Rear Window when Fez is spying on his neighbor after essentially being wheel-chair bound due to falling off the roof. Then the Birds moments with Kitty was priceless, along with the Vertigo-like scenes with Eric and Donna. Lastly the Psycho scene was pretty funny and enjoyable with Laurie and Kelso. I feel sorry for anyone that hasn't seen these movies, becuz the hilarity of these moments in this episode is so much funnier recalling the original material from the movies. This was a great episode that definitely could be considered a deep cut for those that love the classics.

Its Clever but you MUST get the Hitchcock references

I have to rate this episode highly for cleverness, but I'm a Gen Xer and I've only seen 3 of the main 5 Hitchcock movies being referenced, and that's only because my mom loved Hitchcock (I've seen Rear Window, Psycho, and Vertigo). That 70s Show's main audience were people like my millenial niece who I am sure got NONE of them... if you don't get them the episode must have seemed weird. For instance, I've never seen The Birds, so those segments just fell flat. And I had forgotten how Jimmy Stewart turned the protagonist into a blonde in Vertigo, so I did not initially get that one... but still cleverness points get this one an 8... and the scene where Hyde plays Grace Kelly sneaking into the apartment in Rear Window but instead stealing beers is CLASSIC.

One of the best if not the best episode of the entire show

As someone who's a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock and his movies, I enjoyed every bit of this episode and I like how everyone was in a different Hitchcock movie. Michael being in North by Northwest, Kitty in Birds, Laurie in Psycho, Eric and Donna in Vertigo, and Hyde and Fez in Rear Window. Would've been better if Jackie was in a film, I felt she didn't really do anything in this episode. But besides that, this episode is an easy 10/10.

Had a blast

One of the best episodes I have ever seen.

I almost never write reviews over here although I frequently rate the stuff (although not individual episodes). But after watching this episode, I felt like writing it.

Man, it was amazing. Vertigo, Rear Window, North by Northwest, Psycho and Birds. They really went all out here although it'd have been a lot cooler if they had used those Bernard Herrmann's screeching violins in the shower scene. (The Star War themed episodes in S1 were great too.) It gave me the feels, the music, Eric mimicking Jimmy Stewart's facial expressions and Donna as a mysterious Hitchcock blonde. A great tribute to the master of suspense. Now I gotta go rewatch Vertigo.
