Chrissy is once again depressed since both Jack & Janet have good news to share: he has the potential to land a well-paying job, and she actually got a decent raise at the flower shop. Chrissy doesn't feel as if she's properly appreciated at her workplace, so Jack & Janet encourage her to be far more assertive and confident in her abilities.
They think that this has backfired when Chrissy reveals that she did indeed wear a low-cut dress to work, making them think that Chrissy has a male boss who rewarded her purely out of lust. In fact, Chrissy's new boss J. C. (Emmaline Henry, 'I Dream of Jeannie') is a woman who actually recognized Chrissy's abilities. Chrissy reveals that she & J. C. are going on a business trip, leading Jack & Janet into panic mode - and a classic case of 'Three's Company'-style jumping to the worst conclusion right off the bat, and a hysterical case of mistaken identity.
Norman Fell has not one but *two* great "grinning for the camera" moments, while John Ritter generates hearty laughs in style; best of all are his actions & reactions in the Regal Beagle when he thinks he's defending Chrissy's honor and is in fact making a big mistake.
Two of my other favorite Jack Tripper moments: constantly, deliberately freaking out Stanley, and going back for more & more enthusiastic hugs from Chrissy when she shares *her* good news.
Eight out of 10.
