From memory I think MaryEllen gets a bit pompous as a nurse thinking she knows what's ailing grandma and treats her for flu. Instead she has a serious appendix flare up like Jim Bob and this time it ruptured. The reason I missed this is because I can't stand the character of Dr. David Spencer and glad MaryEllen decided to throw him over for Curt. He acts so important and sort of creepy especially later when he moves in again on MaryEllen.

You get yourself in trouble. My first head nurse interrupted my sentence when she told me that. That phrase can pertain to many situations. If you are a parent or in the medical field be cautious.
I agree Mary Ellen was a pompous know it all. She was a student. In reality I'm fairly certain she would have been kicked out of nursing. Her grandmother or no.
