When things don't go so well in London, Brenda returns to Liverpool, only to find that Malcolm is spending the evening with Susan.
Back for a third series, and it begins with a solid episode, there's nothing particularly remarkable, indeed it's a plot scenario that we have seen before, but there are some laughs, again most of them come from Brenda, although Marjorie has her moments too, sat sewing, munching her way through a box of posh chocolates.
Notably this is the first episode where we get to see and hear Mary speak, Cedric has had a few lines, so far Mary's just been seen, nice that the pub characters are getting a little more focus.
Good start, 7/10.
