Japanese adventure
searchanddestroy-111 March 2019
After Serbia, France, Russia, Mexico, Hawaii and many more countries and territories which whom our team has to take care of, in the diplomatic, cultural or political way, this is now Japan that it is about here. And which means Japan, means of course samurai, the most emblematic picture of this country, but also the most testosterone like element, which for this kind of series, is more adequate than lotus flower, house of bamboo with geishas galore...But after all, this doesn't prevent that. Unlike the previous episode, which was very unusual for the show, because one hundred percent western, this one gets back in the atmosphere of W W WEST series. Watch out for the lead villain, you'll get a surprise.

A "who done it" detective mystery episode
oscar-3527 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
*Spoiler/plot- TNOT Samurai, 1967, The agents must recover a sacred sword to avoid the explosive destruction of fragile political relations with the Japanese government.

*Special Stars- Robert Conrad, Ross Martin, Irene Tsu, Khigh Dhiegh, Thayer David, Red West

*Theme- The US must keep good relations with the East.

*Trivia/location/goofs- Original air date: 10-13-67. San Francisco is the plot location. The samurai sword fight is terribly stunt staged and obviously slowed down by the participants. Sloppy work. Look for actor Khigh Dhiegh (Hawaii 5-0's 'Wo Fat')early acting role in this episode. Many familiar Asian actors appear here.

*Emotion-Essentially a "Who Done It" detective mystery episode but made very fun & interesting based on the acting talents & role of Mr. Conrad. Japanese samurai school owner villain character is forgettable. But, Mr. Martin's many Barbary Coast undercover characters(Portugesse sea captain and etc.)make this episode entertaining and worth a fun look also.
