Not so bad after all
searchanddestroy-112 February 2019
Let's be clear, that's certainly not the best episode of the whole show, far from that. Not greatness or invention of any kind. The scheme is forgettable at the most. But the twists inside this story are quite amusing. We have not seen so many of them in the show, where there are so many predictable plots. Here, for once, NO, you have some good surprises. And after all, an excellent show, is not supposed to be always at the peak, with highlights every week, It may be interesting to slow the pace once in a while. This is the case here, with the original twists put in the plot. A minimalist episode but quite interesting though.

The pompous Prince of south seas Coral Island!!
elo-equipamentos7 May 2024
As far as recall it was one the most weak episode so far, apart the soft mannerism of the pompous Prince of Coral Island is too funny and remarkable, but the story is quite contrived as often in this exotic series, the Prince cited above landing at San Francisco for an upcoming political meeting at White House to sign a treat with the United States concerning the island be a trading post of Americans, before the long journey cross-country the Prince decides a relief time at Spa thermal spring, ours friends ought prevent a possible attack against the Prince that should be carried out by foreign powerful countries.

As usually a female presence is portrait by the eye-candy and silly aristocratic Dana Wynter to adorn the mainly masculine casting, by the way not so male-dominated, the Prince in question is openly a flamboyant behavior to call him as true man in correct term of the word, a sudden twist is comes along on the outcome.

Thanks for reading.

Annoying

Difficult to imagine a worse episode. Nick Adams plays an annoying fop of a prince doing a bad Liberace impersonation. He doesn't even get what's coming to him. One star for the beautiful Dana Wynter, but my goodness , she had lost a lot of weight. I didn't even realize it was her until the credits.

Nick Adams Is Poorly Served
rmorse2124 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Seeing Nick Adams in what I assume is yellow face, complete with obvious "ethnic" eye makeup and a bad wig, is a bit more than fans of the doomed actor will wish to see.

A fine actor in his own right, Adams was cast, in all likelihood, more for his close friendship with series star Robert Conrad than for his acting chops. This is not to say Adams wasn't up to the task of portraying a foppish south seas prince: he was. Still, it would have been preferable to see an ethnically-correct actor in the role.

As for the plot, this episode closely follows a standard TWWW boiler plate with booby-trapped rooms, dastardly villains, a gorgeous femme fatale and, of course, a shirtless Robert Conrad. All in all, we've seen it all before.

Quite ridiculous
lbowdls5 August 2022
Firstly a white Nick Adams playing a supposed Polynesian, considering they did so much cultural appropriation back in those times, you at least think they would have made an effort to brown someone up. And for some reason Jim and West have an argument about him going into disguise when that's what he always does. I've just stayed watching this series and enjoy most despite such unbelievable in story lines, but this is on a whole new plain of fantasy. Dana Wynter is always good but also never found out why her character was how she was. Strange.

Nick Adams is barely rexognisable
UNOhwen14 February 2023
This episode's gust star is Nick Adams, and, sadly, he looks barely recognisba.

Yes , I understand, he's portraying this 'prince', bit his face is bloated, and he was only in his mid-30s.

The episode's typical West;, but, even though I watched it all, I was just (sadly) shocked by Mr Adams, who died, not long after.

This is not one of my favourite episodes of the series (and I prefer the first season's black & white, as they were still a new series, just feeling their way). By the nextcouple of years, though there's a few stand-outs, most episode's fall into a very formulaic pattern, and I'm not that crazy about it.
