Math Class Squared

Warning: Spoilers
"Cheats never prosper" as the saying goes, and Kevin falls fowl of that in this episode.

Full of heart and a lovely twist at the end, this is a lovely look at the relationship between Mr Collins and Kevin.

We all had/or hoped to have a teacher like Mr Collins I think.

Almost vast majority of students find math a hard school subject, with Kevin can't be otherwise, aside Paul that is top in that kind, actually Kevin is pretty worry about many "C grade" received is last math's exams, when he saw some students cheating in the exams overtly without the Prof. Collins notice such thing at class, somewhat it annoys him, then Kevin tries call attention of the absent-mind Prof. Collins for the cheating ongoing at own sight, instead he disregards Kevin replying with same query, "some doubt Kevin?", then he stays bothered about that, but he doesn't focuses in the exams properly, obtaining the same C grade.

Then he seeks the group's cheaters leader McCormick to enter in the game, Kevin is well-received among the cheaters, in next math's exams Kevin got a B + grade, what improves, thus Prof. Collins finds it outlier and quickly invites Kevin to make part of an advance math class, of course Kevin is in dire straits due he can't keep up the pace of the group which Paul already belongs.

Perceiving the chastisement applied by the righteous Prof. Collins, Kevin finally begin to understanding that Prof. Collins already knew about McCormack's cheating group, of whom doesn't envisage any future at your point of view, otherwise Kevin that was a diligent student, just caught in the mass grave of the cheaters for a while, then the wise Professor acts fast to avoid that Kevin keeps on the wrong path.

Fine episode that brings a message for lazy students that there isn't any easy way to reach at the top without hard-working by yourself only, no shortcuts available!!

Thanks for reading.

One of the best episodes of the show

Warning: Spoilers
**Contains Spoilers** In this episode Kevin tries to cheat in his math class in order to raise his grade. He sees several other students cheating and getting away with it so he figures why not? This episode stars one of my absolute favorite characters of the show, Mr. Collins. That character reminds me so much of my Uncle Ed. My Uncle Ed, like Collins, was the smartest man I've ever encountered. The things he taught me and the way that he taught me was beyond anything any other teacher had ever done. He told me that he plans to die with a piece of chalk in his hand.

Mr. Collins really cares about Kevin and about math and about teaching. Beyond my Uncle, I have never had a teacher in real school that was anything close to what Mr Collins is on this show. My teachers could care less about the students, or really teaching them anything, nor did they have the intelligence to even be able to teach like MR Collins did. I love all 3 episodes that Collins appears in. His methods are amazing.

When Kevin cheated, or when he asked for help in the previous Mr Collins episode or when he hands him the test with all these rude remarks for answer in the later episode, most teachers would've been so politically correct in how they handled those situations. Never doing anything that would ultimately teach the student anything or make him or her a better person. MR Collins, we need more like you! I was sad to read that the actor that played him died in 2009 :(
