Trouble at Mill
Prismark1018 October 2018
Sending Teddy to work in the factory has backfired. He keeps harassing the women workers and they have gone on strike over the working conditions and pay.

Lord George goes to negotiate but he senses the worker's hostility.

Alf decides to help out. The staff are happy that Teddy will cease to come to the factory. Alf knowing that the Prime Minister is due to attend dinner with Lord George in the evening asks the staff to bide their time knowing Lord George will give in.

Ivy meanwhile has to get the house ready to receive the Prime Minister as everyone else is at the factory.

The episode looked to have a poor opening. It looked like the writers were struggling to have a theme for the second series but it picks up once Lord George arrives at the factory.

Perry & Croft certainly do not have a nostalgic view of the upper classes. They make sure they are spiky to the workers which they were back in those days.
