A more serious galenskaparna movie
inlineninja7 September 2006
Den Enskilde Medborgaren, based on the Scandia-scandal is a movie about the board of the insurance company "Eden" whom by removing the bonus-roof helps themselves to a wast amount of money, all on the expense of the private citizen. Morgan, a music teacher decides to put an end to it.

The characters are eminent and played well by the actors. The humor is composed of irony and witty remarks on society. All in the slow style of Claes Eriksson. The movie takes a bit of a more serious tone than the usual galenskaparna-movie, the politics aren't just in the jokes and you think more than laugh rather than the other way around.

Anyways, if you like the other galenskaparna-movies odds are you'll like this one.

A humorous insight into the nature of greed, without major surprises.

What I saw pleased me.

It made me laugh, it made me smile, it made me thoroughly enjoy my time at the movies.

Having grown older & wiser according to himself, the director wasn't afraid to let silence speak, or to be quietly amusing instead of in-your-face ludicrous. The movie had a number of thought provoking ideas and statements, even if it might not bring anything to the average man that the he hasn't grasped himself. At most it might help you put words to your thoughts and ideas, which in itself isn't half bad.

It was well worth the time if you sit back, relax and enjoy. There's meaning there but above all there's good old-fashioned entertainment.
