This episode shows Lex getting scared after he learned somebody else voted for him that previous episode. The pressure is taken off slightly when he hangs out with Ethan during a reward trip, and they really show a bond, and this shows a more human side of Lex. But after the immunity challenge, when Lex is unsafe, he goes crazy, and he ends up basically voting out Kelly because he fears her. But his paranoid attitude caught up with him since he ended up almost becoming the first member of the jury, only surviving the elimination by a single vote. Which shows that some people were getting over his behavior, and were wanting it to end. This shows that no matter how dominant you are, if your paranoia rubs people wrong, people will eventually be sick of it.
