Alice Thursday (Kathleen Harrison) leads a life of happy bourgeoisiedom having been left sufficient funds not to have to work. Yet she is basically bored; she needs the stimulation of work to survive. Hence when fellow char-lady Ethel Turner (Dandy Nichols) faints at home, Mrs. Thuesday is happy to intervene.
The comedy is mildly amusing, while there are a lot of observations about sexual attitudes in the mid-Sixties which have moved on a lot since then.
