Earth faces a formidable opponent
Mr-Fusion14 October 2016
'Winged Assassin' picks up right after the events of the opener ('The Mysterons') with Captain Scarlet returning to action after being informed that he's virtually indestructible. A couple things of note here are Capt. Blue's apprehensions about working with Scarlet, the discovery of Scarlet's sixth sense and it establishes that the Mysterons can control not only people but also vehicles. The Mysterons also win this particular battle, but there's not really any emotion to it; strictly procedural.

But while we're on the subject, what caused Scarlet to revive where most (all?) Mysteron replications just stay dead? What makes him unique? This is never addressed; and I know it's a kids show, but ti's also one of surprising darkness and depth. Even still, he willingly risks his life to stop the plane and keep Captain Blue safe. Even if you know you're going to come back to life after a crash, there's still the guaranteed pain that comes with a collision like that. Burning questions aside, I guess that's what really matters.
