If you like bad cinematography and sound FX, it's right up your ally.

Warning: Spoilers
The sound FX are laughable, when someone gets kicked hearing that crunch sound confused me as to whether this movie was a comedy or drama. At the end when the prince gets slapped and we hear that computer generated sound effect, lol. Crummy cinematography, to say the least. It was hard on my eyes. Who was the cinematographer??? No wonder he wasn't listed, lol. The plot was so simple, not to give away but here's a hint; the title may lead you believe... Oh, while i won't say whether or not the groom returns. That would ruin everything, wouldn't it. The only saving grace for this movie was the soundtrack, thank you Isla St. Clair. I mean it really comes down to - if you like bad cinematography and sound FX, it's right up your ally. Here's a home run hit.

Simple, but good...

I saw "Return of the Groom" when it premiered on the huge screen of a river-walk theater in San Antonio last year. I think I would pretty much recommend this movie to anyone for the most part. The acting is good, the cinematography is OK, except for a few things I just can't understand. The sequence of ship shots got a little messed up for some reason. The plot was OK, but kinda basic. It makes a nice family film. The castle that the movie was filmed in was pretty cool. As a goof, in the background of one of the shots near the end, if you look closely you can see part of a telephone poll. Isla St. Clair did a great job on the soundtrack, her song was still ringing in my head long after the movie was done. Charlie Zahm's song was good too.

Wow, what a movie

This was a great movie! I saw it soon after the premiere, and I'm glad I did. The actress for the character Ellowin was definitely talented. The extra guy with the red hair at the start was also quite something. Quite a makeover! Back to the point, I liked seeing Caleb Walsh in it. Too bad he didn't have a bigger role. The aunt was incredible! There is some true acting talent! However, I was a bit disappointed with the sword-fighting scene. It seemed a little too short and unrealistic. Did the lead role kill the bad guy or did he just fall over? ;-) Maybe a bit more of an intensity to the scene in the woods would have added to the movie, but the hilarious scene with the servants more than made up for the poster board sword-fighting scene. The message was great though!
