Pathetic
tjhyb113 January 2015
When I first heard Challenge was reviving Bullseye, I thought "great!". Then I saw it. What a let down. The standard of contestant is abysmal. The original featured quizzers with reasonably good general knowledge and darters who could at least hit the board. Many of them were county players. Most of the new crop would struggle to get into their local pub dart and quiz teams. And whoever thought it would be a good idea to get the only man in Britain who can't pronounce the word "Darts" properly to host a show based on darts deserves to be placed in front of a dartboard when Phil Taylor is practising. All-in-all a sorry affair totally undeserving to be associated with the classic Jim Bowen-hosted original. That may have verged on the shambolic at times but it had a veneer of class.

Brilliant!

Warning: Spoilers
This is an updated version of the classic '80's game show "Bullseye". The show is now presented by Dave Spikey (who starred in Peter Kay's Pheonix Night's) and it still has Tony Green calling it. The game is still the same with the same catchphrases such as "stay out of the black and in the red. Nothing in this game for two in a bed." And don't worry because little animated Bully is still around!! The prizes around the board are often quite tacky, such as a Trouser Press! And a Toast/Griller! The show is exclusive to Challenge TV and it still is a fantastic show. Is it better than the original? No. Is it just as good as the original? Yes! Check it out and see what you think.

Beyond pathetic

Warning: Spoilers
O.K. The original series had its faults including a hapless host that was Jim Bowen, rubbish prizes and allot of naff catchphrases however it was head and shoulders above this monstrosity of a programme.

Dave Spikey may have been good in Phoenix Nights but as a host of a quiz show he falls on his face, he has the charisma of a dead whelk and and a comedy routine that is as funny as colonic irrigation. To add insult to injury the dart players are simply inept, Stevie Wonder would have scored higher than this lot. The prizes were blatant advertisements.

A shameful experience to say the least.
