The making of M.A.S.H.
Rodrigo_Amaro16 January 2024
A well-summarized look at the importance and greatness from Robert Altman's classic anarchic comedy "MASH", one of the many masterpieces from the New Hollywood which defined a whole new generation of filmmakers and actors, and reshaped the film industry with its language, visuals, presentation of themes and many more aspects.

Along with the clips, we have the interviews with the main folks from the picture: Altman, Donald Sutherland, Elliott Gould, Sally Kellerman and Tom Skerritt; then Fox executive Richard D. Zanuck, and film critic Richard Schickel to share many views on the film, behind the scenes stories about its development where it had everything to go wrong with each innovation brought on by the wild director in charge, and plenty of clips from the movie.

Great material that accomplished its feat without leaving anything behind, despite the short running time. Most of what you read on the net about the mythical making of "MASH" are proven here and 20 years after its release the team gathered share nice and fun stories, which makes it all more interesting for those who had seen the classic film over and over. For those doubt the legacy of "MASH" or don't understand it fully, just watch this special. 9/10.
