PLAYING GAMES WITH THE BIG GUYS
tcchelsey26 March 2023
Burr DeBenning is quite good in the role of a drug dealer, probably one of the more slick characters he ever played. There's always a problem, right? Captain Greer is convinced he's got the goods on him this time, while DeBenning (now behind bars) claims he's been framed by Greer's old pal. Veteran Nehemiah Persoff is spot on as the crafty police sergeant. Persoff was terrific in heavy roles, similar to Rod Steiger, in such classic films as ON THE WATERFRONT. To his credit, DeBenning will always be remembered as the doctor in the cult chiller, THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN, for all of us horror fans. Look for popular bit actor Michael Jeffries as an airport commuter. He appeared in hundreds of films and tv shows and at one time was the president of the Screen Actors Extra Guild, without too much surprise. Well written by David Vowell, a veteran of such shows as ADAM 12 and DRAGNET. The ending is one to wait for. SEASON 3 EPISODE 19 dvd box set.

"Is That Justice?" Asks a PO'd Greer
kgraovac29 December 2023
Greer and another veteran cop (Nehemiah Persoff) enlist the trio to trap a slippery drug dealer who has escaped justice on a technicality.

Not a bad episode -- it just didn't grab me the way many of the others this Season did. I was enjoying the small details more than the actual story. Loved seeing the crazy traffic in and around LAX and the archaic bare-bones casino with nothing but basic slot machines.

Julie goes undercover as a stewardess and she wears a dated, avocado-green uniform with a geometric beret.

There is an early resolution to everything so you know there has to be some sort of twist coming.

Action-wise, not much happens, but Persoff does take a chair to the head at the climax. It was staged impressively. 7/10.
