Five nights in the Bristol and Bath area begin with Jamie-Lea's positive attitude towards cooking. Yet her high energy isn't to everyone's taste, there are personality clashes, and a "guess each other's age" game goes predictably badly.
As doctor of psychology and pig farmer Chris Firmin has cerebral palsy, the physical side of his cooking is done by his assistant Lauren, under his instructions. The revelation that they've cooked one of his own pigs gets a mixed reaction.
Christine fails to impress her guests by getting all of her ingredients shop bought and pre-packaged. Meanwhile, narrator Dave Lamb has fun with the "famous" people Christine mentions - including guest singer for the night, Dave Diamond.
The diners aren't sure what to expect on night four, with host James still something of a mystery. Less unknown is Shelley, who has now told so many stories that Christine is out of patience. Will a poetry recital calm everyone's nerves?
The final night ends with a more peaceful atmosphere, though Shelley has to put on a brave face when Christine brings out some cotton wool earplugs. The situation is reversed when Shelley asks if she's ever been mistaken for Pat Butcher.
