A Program To Watch
user-71915 July 2006
I was actually in this program. It is about two people who have brain injury's and my mum is one of them. They are in a brain injury unit in Liverpool, England. It is a program that really gets to the heart, it is worth watching. It focuses on trying to help people with brain injuries because it is not recognised as an illness, but in fact it is. More that 250,000 people have brain injuries in Britain alone. This program is to make people acknowledge that it is a serious problem and something has to be done. It also gives people who know other people with brain injuries that there are special places for them to be helped. I have spoken to some people since the program went on air and they all have said that they didn't know that there were special places. It is definitely worth watching and i am not saying that because i am in it, it really is.

Well made programme

I watched the last part of this documentary this evening (16/8/08 on Sky Three). Must watch out for it to be shown again so I can see the complete programme. The programme was very well made and highlighted something that is very emotional for me. Kay and especially her daughter are a fantastic mother and daughter. I gather that Kay's brain injury was caused by an attack??? As I missed the beginning of the programme I wondered what exactly happened. How is Kay now? And what is her daughter doing now - I would love to know as her grandmother was keen for her to concentrate on a career. My best wishes go to them both and of course Kay's mother and sister. At the end of the programme Kay appeared to be remembering a few things, I do so hope that this improvement has continued.
