Taking her for a spin....

Despite the title, not all that much of this episode of "The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau" is about deep water exploration. Instead, the bulk of the show is about the mating Green Sea Turtles in the Indian Ocean off the crappy island of Europa. The team seek to discover how often the turtles lay eggs in a given season as well as provide the public with wonderful looks at these glorious creatures. So, unless you plan on doing some scuba diving and seeing them yourself, this is your best chance to see them.

As to the title, this is referring to two new small subs the Cousteau organization has obtained. They take them out for some trials...which end rather badly. But no matter, as the mini subs will prove themselves in future episodes.

All in all, a very interesting episode....plus who couldn't love sea turtles?!?! Well made and enjoyable throughout...even though the subs were sadly seen very little in this one.
