We Can Work It Out
Spuzzlightyear8 November 2006
In 1999, civil war tore East Timor apart, setting villages upon villages, neighbor upon neighbor. Now, in this interesting film, two villages meet up with each other two try to settle differences and past hardships between them that developed during the war. It's an interesting subject for sure, I have to commend the Timoreese (sp) for their willingness to sit down with each other and work it out offering up many odd items for retribution. The history of this event is dramatized as well, as well as the recreation of the event 5 years later. Interesting stuff, maybe just a wee bit too talky, but something that can looked as a metaphor for resolving current problems I suppose?
