While they agree that their truce is only temporary, Roger and Burke decide they must work together to stop whatever evil Laura is up to, especially to protect gave in. Victoria and Carolyn act as buffers with Victoria predicting more flames, making them decide that David must be taken away to save himself from a horrible fate. David, having forgotten what happened at the seance, reveals that he wants to go away with his mother, and Burke goes out of his way to get David to go on a fishing trip with him. But it's going to take a lot of scheming to keep Laura and David apart before they can get him away.
