Yep, we know that when you say something twice, you really mean it, and in the case of Burke Devlin, he really wants Victoria to stay away from Barnabas Collins. We get this point because it is obvious that the show was running a few seconds short on running time and they needed Anthony George to say the line twice. But in this episode, we also get Julia having some good scenes with both Willie and David, a great confrontation between Burke and Willie, and suspicions that Barnabas, not seen in this episode, is really a vampire. Of course Burke doesn't come out and say that (it would be too predictable) so the script has to fool us with clues like this
So while this is just basically an average episode, the talent of the supporting cast does give it a bit of intrigue. It seems that we don't see much of David any more, and daddy Roger has been off screen for what appears to be an eternity. But we're setting up a big showdown with Burke and Barnabas, and Dr. Hoffman is setting in to have a finger in every story. Pretty good for your traditional transitional episode.
