June is feeling a little pressure in her quest to break away from the ranks, locker rooms prove problematic. Not afraid to make her presence felt, she introduces a very unpopular scheme, meaning the relief spend time on duty single handed.
I thought this was a really good, important episode, a time perhaps where women were starting to move up the ranks within The Police, the show does seem to be shifting in its attitudes.
Trudie Goodwin at her absolute best here, she's tough, shes unshakable, she's ready to mix it with the troops and the chief, very well acted. I enjoyed her lambasting Brownlow.
I laughed out loud at the locker room, everyone was ribbed regardless of sex and rank, those slippers, hilarious. It was a welcome laugh to what had been a serious storyline.
Where did Martin get that hideous jumper from, poor Mark Womack looks she'll shocked as he's questioned, is it the troubled teenagers, or that rather hideous jumper he was made to wear.
9/10.
