DS Geoff Daly arrives Sun Hill, his first job, is to help our DC Skase, who's mission to take down a dealer, is failing.
It's good, it serves mainly to introduce Daly, the story itself is nothing original, with no major developments, but it's watchable enough, the character play is the major strength, Rod seems to be getting more and more hot headed.
Ray Ashcroft arrives as a series regular, having previously played the awful PC Leach back in 1993, a goof actor, he'd be popular here as Daly.
They mention that Alan Woods has gone, that's a shame, I was fond of the Scotsman, very good character, one of the milder mannered ones in CID, a shame he didn't get an exit story.
