This is a beautiful story of faithfulness and undying love. Is a fictional account which describes the historical event of the origins of the Cajuns settling in Louisiana. Father Felician has a wonderful role as the narrator and mentor of young Evangeline. The song, "Worth the Wait" is profound and heart-wrenching --- especially at the end. The strong faith of these French settlers, their quest to forgive and continue with their lives, and the sometimes futile search for love ones that become estranged or separated are some of the themes of this play. I wish they had gotten the play on video and not just as a concert but even this concert has some acting and movement in it - it is not just people singing at the microphone. wonderful story. Wonderful music.
