Real Or Imaginary?
AaronCapenBanner28 September 2014
Similar in premise to earlier episodes 'Voodoo' & 'Witch Doctors', in that religious figures claim to be able to bless, curse, or heal the faithful who are followers and believers of the faith healer, and in many cases that modern medicine has been unable to cure. This episode takes the western viewpoint, with the expected scientific skepticism, but yet curiosity as well.

The highlight here is an unexpected but most welcome update about a young cancer survivor and his adult mentor Shelley from the episode 'Life After Death'. Miraculously, he survived to make a full recovery, thanks to his resilience and medicine. This alone raises the rating on this one.

Looking into what really happened.

Warning: Spoilers
Looking into what really happened. Faith Healing has a look into Faith Healing with science and faith explaining the Supernatual of un-explainable healings. There is a look into the power of positive thinking and our own healing power. Skeptic scientist believe in fraud. (does fraud happen all the time , or in some cases?) And the clergy and people who are healed threw faith. Faith Healing just shows the facts, and leaves the narrative of what really happened to the viewer. There is what we know and what is un-known! Great narration, editing, interviews, and speculation about Faith Healing. 7 out of 10 stars.

In Search Of... "Faith Healing" (1980)

The second episode from season five takes a look at the controversial faith healing. In some places preachers are believed to have a certain healing power to where they can place their hands on the sick and they will be cured. The medical field doesn't believe this and we hear from a doctor who gives is feeling but we also hear from people who do believe that the body has its own healing power. If you're a fan of the show then you'll be happy to know that we've gotten yet another very good episode. I've been in several churches where this type of event happened and I personally never thought it was real but it makes for a fascinating discussion and debate.
