I saw this film in the middle of what the festival called the international selection. I never heard anything about it.

"Fear of life, fear of yourself, fear of the others; How to escape from this fear" is the subject and one of the main neurosis for our urban society, in my opinion. By his videocamera, the first character tries to understand where his trauma comes from and tries by his film to overcome it.

The way that the author plays with the diary, doc, fiction and animation style, the editing and the choice of the music give the film a good author touch . This kind of film helps to give credibility to the quality of the festival selection. I enjoyed discovering it. Watch it,it makes you THINK.

This well thought out and executed film is about fear. Not only does it explore the fears of the main character, but it also causes you to think about some of your own fears, and in what way having those fears effects your daily life.

The film overall shows an excellent skill level and is very creative, together with beautiful music and impeccable editing. Included are interviews with the actual people involved, including the district attorney who prosecuted the case. I found it very interesting to hear her insights. Other specialists are also interviewed, such as the professor of psychology at the university who specializes in precisely this topic.

This film makes excellent use of high quality animation and the way it's phased in and out from reality is superbly done. Another good point was the use of the actual tape of the 911 call that adds to the excitement and drama of the movie especially when combined with the animation showing the details of what happened. I also thought the footage of Andy at home after the attack certainly added to the reality of the film.

This film follows through to the results of the trial for all involved, so you won't be left with unresolved questions about the case.

You can see how Andy grows & develops through this experience, to the subtle ending that I only noticed after watching it a second time.

Highly recommended.

PS Last year I saw his film called "Hello, Thanks" which was also outstanding and a good comedy. Also recommended.
