A bit aged but still interesting

Now over 25 years old, this first ever episode of Time Team is becoming a piece of history itself. Despite the chuncky laptops and matrix printers, geophysics scored an early triumph here. Also it is the sole example of a digless Time Team weekend, although seemingly they did plan some exploratory work (but badgers stopped them). Many of the elements that would turn this into a great show are already there, like the storytelling, visuals and involvement of locals. Interestingly artist Victor is the only to downgrade tools later on, as he's drawing by computer here but has returned to his pencils.

Definitely a good watch for history and technology buffs alike, and especially a combination thereof.

Athelney, Somerset Warning: Spoilers
A interesting start to what would become a one of the best historical programmes of all time. They don't actually do any digging in this episode, which I suppose was because of how you aren't allowed to dig on sites of potential historical importance, and as of yet Time Team was not the respected institution that it would one day from into.
