How the mighty fall

Warning: Spoilers
To cope with his expanding business, Eric hires Dwight D.Rumbold ( Aubrey Morris ) who has an eye for the ladies, in particular Eric's secretary Mrs.Twinn ( Lally Bowers ). When he is caught chasing both her and Sharon round the office, Eric gives him the push.

Frankie is on a case and asks Peter for a lift. Craven agrees, provided that Frankie sit in the car when he goes to see the head of a slot machine rigging gang. The hopeless would-be private eye blunders in, threatening to tell the police when he realises what is going on, and Peter has to intervene to stop getting him being beaten up. His intervention costs him his job.

With Rumbold gone, there is now a vacancy in Duffy's firm...

That wonderful character actor Aubrey Morris is on good form here, leering and grimacing suggestively in a manner that recalls Les Dawson's 'Cosmo Smallpiece' character from 'Sez Les'. He's not around for long though. You have to admire Craven's restraint for not thumping Frankie when he gets him into trouble with Bowler ( not seen in this episode ). Its a bit sad to see him riding a bike after driving posh cars for so long.

Funniest moment - Frankie borrows Peter's bike to resume his case only to crash mere moments after leaving Duffy's office.
