Haunting Memories For A 12-Year-Old Girl

Warning: Spoilers
This was my first look at this television program and, for the most part, found it fascinating. My only complaint was the constant swiching back-and-forth between cases. I'd rather have the cohesion of seeing one case through and then going on to a second. Still, I found it pretty interesting and pretty frank. This looks like a no-nonsense program where you get a real sense of what it is like to be a homicide detective.

The first case is in Dallas, Texas, where police respond to a fire call in an apartment. A mattress was on fire. That was put out with no problem but the horror was the dead body found on it, a 24-year-old named "Felicia." Three hours later, an 18-year-old arrives and says the victim is her aunt. She also points out that the 12-year-old niece and her mother are missing. Later, that mom is found at a hospital. She thinks there is a To condense the story, we learn the truth from the 12-year-old who witnessed the killing. What a sad and tragic thing: somebody that young seeing something that horrible. This crime winds up leaving you frowning about the brutality involving two females in the family and feeling very bad for the young girl.

The second case takes place in Memphis, Tenn., where a motel housekeeper discovers a very bloody scene. Jonathan Ardrey is the victim. There are deep gashes on his head and blood is the ceiling and all the walls. It's really bad. However, there is no evidence left behind except that someone saw someone driving away in the victim's car, a white Taurus. That is the key to solving the case; finding the car.

As one Sgt. Mitchell Oliver states here, "There isn't much you can say if you're caught driving a dead man's car around."
