Great concept by poorly exicuted.
azfirecep14 May 2019
I've been an EMT, IEMT, Paramedic, Firefighter/Medic and Fire Officer for over 35 years and while this show has potential, without actor's (which I don't want), they're quite hamstrung in what they can legally show. Unlike a Police interaction where there's zero expectation of privacy, this show walks a fine line on real live (or recorded) drama and the HIPAA law's of 1996. HIPAA is what keeps patients medical history private and any violation is swiftly dealt with by fines and lawsuits.

What you don't see first is the "first in" crew asking the patient if they are willing to be on camera and allow them into their home. Accident's are different because the crew wasn't called for an established, outstanding medical condition so trauma would be better to focus on. But that's not what real First Responder's do only. It is a lot of non-life threatening, boring call's just like Law Enforcement has to deal with but are seldom shown on the sister show "LivePD". And I agree that they are jumping from call to call, Department to Department way to fast.

What A&E is trying to make is a cross between the 70's TV show EMERGENCY!, the older series "Paramedics" and A&E's other show "Nightwatch". They really need to focus on the "good" call's like fires, car crashes, shootings, overdoses and ignore the lift assists, difficulty breathing and routine medical call's. What's next, filming inter-facility calls from a hospital back to the nursing home?

And, hate to be blunt but Ashley Banfield is not the best host for this series. Her getting "teary eyed" or breathless over a puppy rescue definitely sends the wrong message. A&E needs to get a better host who should actually go run some call's with various departments to take in the sights, "smells" and emotions of running call's. If need be, get the real footage and blur the victims identity, however, the risk there is family seeing a loved one on TV pronounced dead before the Police can make death notification in person not to mention the family or lawyers using the footage for law suits.

This series has great potential but they need to fine tune a lot to keep people interested.

Can't stand Ashleigh Banfield

The host of this show is dumb and clueless. She constantly is asking the stupidest questions, when even someone with only half a brain would be able to answer. God, I hate her so much!

What could be a good show, needs a better host
wkuhl-6047919 May 2019
Ms. Banfield ruins any chance of this being a good show. She has no chemistry with her cohosts, and appears to not pay attention to what they say, or what is going on at the live shots. Her questions to her cohosts are uninspired, and for lack of a better word, stupid. That is when she asks them a question, more often an open ended statement such as "I bet it's scary to go into a smokey house with fire". No kidding. She ruins Live Pd when she fills in, and will ruin this show.

Same as LivePD, but with rescue personnel.
rdoubleoc14 May 2019
As with LivePD, there are some things to still be desired (no ~30 min delay - being actually live, access to all/most cut footage, etc.), but it's about the same in terms of entertainment value. Definitely better than having nothing new to watch on Monday (and weekday?) nights.

Has potential but the hostess needs to go.
bellegarde1017 May 2019
This is a real life view of first responders. But they switches calls to frequently and the hostess is clueless about anything we do making her commentary dull and boring

GREAT SHOW & HOST
dmans-899-51084626 August 2019
First of all, I have to address all the many, unfair bad reviews. Especially, I have noticed when someone does give a good review, it is deliberately given a no just because they don't agree with that point of view. Everyone is entitled to their point of view too. It's fine to disagree but do so respectfully. Some comments aren't so nice. I think Ashleigh Banfield is a well-spoken, compassionate & informative host who I hope continues. She is a good friend of Dan Abrams, so we'll see. The live action scenes are pretty good and I like the interactions between everyone involved. A good variety of segments shown - especially love the animal rescues. In closing, wish the best to the host and the show - I will keep watching!

Live Rescure on A&E
jamesharrison-323127 February 2020
Obviously capitalizing on the success off LivePD, and why not ? Its important to see what the paramedics, fire fighters and other amazing people do on a daily and nightly basis !

The most important and wild rescues of the week from the U.S and some from other parts of the world are shown.

Pleasantly Pleased
bbrowbb-920781 May 2019
I was not sure what to expect since I am a fan of Live PD. The series is actually filmed live and previously recorded. So that's a neat aspect. The host is warmer than LivePDs but it's packed with emotional connection to the patients. I've actually learned a lot already by watching. I have a friend interested in becoming first responder and it is very useful as a insight to what the job is like. The show also evokes empathy which in my opinion is a beautiful thing.

TOTALLY disappointed
bcdkeane14 May 2019
I come from a family of Police and Fire/Rescue and I loved LivePD ... I am very disappointed in Live Rescue and tonight was the last time I will watch it ... the hostess is boring and overly dramatic ... sadly, she has no clue to what she is talking about ... also, I do NOT like the fact that Rescue of the Week always goes towards the Police ... they belong on LivePD and give Rescue of the Week to a Fire/Medic ... I respect both but start giving Fire/Rescue credit for what they do.

Disappointing and Boring

I was so excited for this show after watching previews for months. But I can't even stay awake long enough to watch it. It is so slow and boring it puts me to sleep.

Total failure
ladyinred-826081 May 2019
Completely and utterly stupid. Might be better with a different host. Personally can't stand her voice and her attempts at humor are horrible, especially considering the show. (Even a lot of the "humor" on live PD is a bit to much.) She moves from scenario to scenario to quickly to even really see what's going on. Stay in one place for more than 30 seconds. They should have just gone with Dan Flynn as host. Stix is already on too many shows, not that I don't like him but enough is enough.

LiveRescue fail
ravenlll16 May 2019
I have watched LivePD since the very first episode. i absolutely love the show and the dynamics between Dan, Tom and Sticks. they set the pace, have the right amount of seriousness mixed with humor. i was semi-excited to hear about Live Rescue. i watched the first episode and was highly disappointed. first, i am not a fan of Ashley Banfield. never have been. but i was willing to give her a chance. epic fail. she was horrible. her attempts to emulate Dan Abrahms were miserable.

additionally, i was rather appalled at the lack of urgency in the first responders as they were dispatched to emergency scenes. some of the comments from the first responders (mostly the emts) were disturbing, almost if they were mocking some of the potential patients. i turned it off about 3/4th of the way through. will not waste time watching it again. extremely dissapointed. if they gave the hosting duties to Dan, Tom, Sticks, or Deputy Kevin Lawrence, i'd happily tune back in.

I cant stand this lady's horrible puns. Its unbearable, painful, and so damn corny. Please get rid of her or just stop her from saying that stupid stuff. Live PD does have some of those pins but they are actually funny. This lady doesnt pull it off at all, please get rid of her please.

Can't Take It
junkartrva28 July 2019
Watching Live Rescue is excruciating. Ashlee Banfield is ridiculous the way she tries to appear excited and makes the most embarrassing comments and asks questions just to fill time. A&E needs to revamp the whole thing or replace it with something watchable. Making bad jokes about someone in obvious pain should have been the first clue .

I Hope it Picks Up
twhlvrldy-7302214 May 2019
The show is somewhat slow. I haven't missed an episode, and have enjoyed the animal rescues. As far as the rest, I know that 1st responders have many more exciting things to respond to than "difficulty breathing". Many of the calls shown are more suitable for Live PD.

Pretty sad when you are watching live rescue and see a director throw used latex gloves in the back of someone's truck. Real professional there buddy. You should be reprimanded and be charged for littering. I hope the person who owns the truck watches this and takes him to court.

Live rescue/over dramatic
wfdus20 January 2020
27 years as a firefighter and I must say this is absolutely terrible. Honestly I cant put into words how much I'm put off by this show. You want a show that works......just show helment cam video and let Chicago fire handle the drama.
