Season 2 had some significant drop off in quality and coherence. Season 3 is off to a much better start.

Well to make a hipster out of shadow and turn the first episode in kind of a alternative Roadmovie is a matter of taste..... but what happened to the wonderful cinematography of the previous seasons? I can see NOTHING of that magic in that first episode of season 3..... Too bad... i really hope they improve, cause I'm a fan since day one....

This 1st episode of season 3 was a welcomed returned after a disappointing season 2. I wasn't sure what was going on but hat was a good thing. It was intriguing, mysterious fast paced and kept interest until the very end. I loved it! Hopefully the remainder of the season is as enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this first episode, which reminded me of all originality related to the first season. Violent and fluid, funny and misterious, this seems a higher point in comparison to the low point that the second season was.

Eight stars. I try to avoid spoilers when I'm watching anything popular, so I came into season 3 not knowing the essential nugget. One of the strengths of the show is that it can cover ground that the book didn't. But it's biggest weakness is how dithery it is about advancing the actual story. I rate this episode as highly as I do because it actually advances the story. Shadow has his meeting with Whisky Jack, and finally makes it to Lakeside. The New Gods stuff with Mr/Ms World and Technical Boy is great. So is the character of Cordelia. Bilquis, long dead by now in the book, emerges as the real moral center of the tale here. And Julia Sweeney just NAILS the creepily helpful character of Hinzelmann (a gender swap from the book that actually doesn't hurt the story, or character at all). This got the season off to a fine start, and didn't have much irrelevant baggage. 4 March 2024.

A more straight forward storytelling is what many people asked for - and hell they got it. The magic, the cinematography, the mythology, the larger than life characters are all gone though. So we have another average show. It's not really bad, but nothing special at all. I get the first two seasons were sort of weird and confusing, but now it seems like a cbs show with people cussing from time to time ... a pity!

At first, they changed the Media in favour of awkward actress. It was horrible, no charisma and 0 interest in her development. Now they changed Mr World following a dumb racial agenda. It feels like a great project loses its soul... Only dialogues interested me, everything else - acting, plot, characters, & the screen - is dissapointing and leads to low expectations.

I dony know why Mr world was changed to a black transgender who can't act outside of her role as a transgender she doesn't do the character justice the main antagonist sucks now I don't know how they thought I know how we will save this show after that abysmal season 2. We will put a black transgender woman to appease the extreme left I hate the extreme left as much as I hate the extreme right where is the middle ground at

Checking all the boxes. I guess the story no longer matters as long as it meets the political correctness of todays madness. Very disappointed, show had potential but may be lost.
