Outdated doc with some future promises that are yet to be fulfilled
JurijFedorov29 June 2023
A guy sold $9m worth of property on the moon. People are eager to buy it as a gag. The doc uses this to launch a hypothetical thesis about what may happen with the moon. Apparently USA, Russia, China all want to explore the space and build a base on the moon. Obviously this is all hypothetical. Now in 2023 we are still predicting this silly stuff with no great advancement. It's just too expensive and worth very little research wise. People today predict China will build a base on the moon and on Mars yet they rather spend their money on weapons. They even shut down hardware and software companies to move workers to the weapons industry. And Russia? They constantly talk a big game about putting a man on the moon and landing on Mars too yet nothing is happening. They are actually cutting their space programs except for the space program China is also focusing on in making an alternative to GPS so that USA cannot shut it down during a war. Basically, from 2007 to 2023 this doc has been shown to have overhyped things to extremes. It's like watching a doc from 1960's promising flying cars, personal robots, and tourist space travel in 1970's.

They talk about using moon rocks containing Helium-3 for future nuclear fusion power plants on Earth. A Russian rocket company says they will create a mining company on the moon by 2020. Again, this did not happen and just won't happen as even in theory this doesn't work. You need to bring down cost 100 times for it to make sense AFTER you develop the technology. The most sane person here is the guy selling property on the moon. At least his plan is working and he knows he is stealing money from people. Those other people predicted stuff that didn't happen and are made to look foolish.
