When a good show has a bad finale,normally the next season falls way under.But the magicians proved me wrong.The mystery is there and the acting is very solid and the character development is good as usual.Sure,many people were mad about Quentin but,as the first reviewer said,his story is over.If the rest of the characters acted like nothing had ever happened that would have been a problem.Atleast we get to see how the characters are dealing with that shakeup and how it will impact their future choices and adventures.

I've yet to read the novels and I've already learned the show is unlike them except for Nrakebills and the character names. Having stopped watching this show when season 3 was new, I decided to binge through all four seasons since SyFy Gabe this show another season. I found some of the political scenarios quite humorous and a bit prophetic considering the show was filmed months before what has happened since the summer of 2019. I find the rampant use of foul language mainly said by the female characters and how formerly typical like 'grow a pair' or 'sack/nut up' have been feminized by the same main found mouthed female character. If I'm too old to understand this way if talking is because she is tough. All it does for me is degrade the actress speaking those words and making it more and more difficult to just enjoy the show. Now with Q gone, it's now seven to three females to males and one is bisexual, so I'm not quite sure where that falls in the male/female scheme of things. I'll watch a few more episodes and if it remains the same, I'll drop it for good this time. Too many other shows to watch if what's on isn't making you happy.

Another season starts off with everyone drinking and references to drinking. its distracting and unnecessarily. point is a booze company owns the show and its too obvious. oh and its vulgar "grow a clit". is this necessary?
