Started pretty well

Quite liked the concept and it started well but as it went on it became a wee bit daft. They could have trimmed a few plot lines. Mind you the brilliant David Haig is always worthwhile watching.

A solid, if underwhelming conclusion.

Fraser takes it upon himself to deliver the transformer, and the political fallout of the shootings begin, Robert faces a confidence boat, Archie holds the key, and makes a huge demand.

I can't quite explain why, but I think this was a somewhat less than satisfying end to the first series.

I think the initial premise was great, so interesting, but it just didn't amount to anything, all that build up just came to nothing, with 100% focus on the political machinations.

It does deal with some interesting subjects, Ellie's story raised a few thought provoking moments, especially the cry for help.

It was interesting to see the power Archie held, and the demands he made for his support, it does make you question and wonder how much of this happens in the real world, especially the press's involvement.

The best element once again, the acting, David Haig and Victoria Hamilton once again both shine, both added so much.

There's more than enough to make me revisit the second series.

6/10.
