My overall rating of "O mecanismo"'s Season 2: 6/10
I suppose that most of the malus to this episode's score comes not as much from any of its own failings (although there are a few, like the bar escape freeze-frame) as due to not fitting in with the previous season. The new intro is strange and much less classy than that of Season 1 (although apparently Portuguese speakers like the song's lyrics?..); Verena's place looks a bit different and the iconic doorchain is nowhere to be found (and never to be heard from again); Ibrahim has apparently resolved the issue with his wife that was set to leave him homeless (and where on Earth is his daughter, we never see her again?!); and why on Earth does Ruffo go along with becoming homeless - is all his property registered on his wife? The ranch is explicitly his, though!
(I've watched this episode in Russian)
