A mother's nightmare begins, as she learns her son is one of the victims of The Hillsborough disaster.
What an incredible start to this four part dramatisation. It's a shocking story, it's still so very difficult to contemplate what those poor people and their families went through.
This dramatisation doesn't hold back, you feel the anguish, pain and torment of the family, there is a long way to go in this story, I think we'll see the cover up that followed play a big part.
Some actual footage of the event here, it is truly heart breaking to watch.
That scene on the beach had me in tears, that was incredibly powerful, it was so vivid I almost imagined the movement of those people in my mind's eye.
The last time I saw a performance that blew me away, it was David Tennant in Des, Maxine Peake hits those heights for me, I'll be stunned if she doesn't win an award for this.
Heart breaking, 10/10.
