I honestly feel that these mothers on this show never had playmates growing up or Barbie dolls. This is repulsive. And the parent with her daughter who gives her JJ a facial when I saw that I literally turned the show off. This is taking it too damn far this is sickening, the mother who has the daughter and the beauty pageant needs to stop living her dreams through her daughter and move on my God let that girl live her life the way she should be living it. This show is sickening anymore and from what I've seen is not getting any better. I doubt the ratings will keep up with us. This is disgusting and nauseating .

Well I was OK with it until the mother felt as though she needed a casket for her Birthday party. It's sickening for those of us who have lost our mother's. You need to move to the old show... 6ft. Under! I think these women should stop and think how far we have tried to come and stop trying to stunt the growth of others! I hope in the beginning that this was over dramatic bad acting but I think that it's how they are. The men seem as though they understand the implications of being in a toxic relationship. Maybe foe future shows these women could make some progress with the help of professionals lol.

The only thing this program will show is how the borderline personality disorder and the narcissistic disorder will total decimate a child. These mothers (and I us that word very loosely) will consume every aspect of there children's lives from birth. These children will be total consumed, and as a results have no sense of self, and no self esteem. These mothers will feed on there children like insatiable monster to acquire as much fuel as possible at the expense of there own children's sanity and well being. They will always have difficulty navigating through there lives. The stupid and emotionally numb enabling fathers are as much to blame as the mothers. They well stand behind and support every destructive behavior the narcissist will do. The narcissist has to empathy, and I am quit sure all the people involved in this program lack it as well.

The mothers and daughters on this show should be in therapy not on tv the mothers and the daughters on this show have to go to the psychiatrist very very badly.

This was like a train wreck that you can't help but be curious about and can't turn your head away from. I power watched these episodes from my sick bed and while most of the mother/daughter relationships were over the top, HOWEVER the Sumgie or whatever woman was unbelievable!!! She has to be the most selfish person I have ever seen on reality TV by FAR! She truly did not care about what made her child happy, only what was best for her. It was so shocking to watch I simply couldn't turn away. I kept hoping for a change in this woman but as time went on it simply got worse. Her child felt the need for approval so much that witnessing her put her mother's demands above her own happiness was painful. That woman needs to be ashamed of herself and her cruel intentions because no mother would put her own wants and needs above that of her child's. Astonishing how evil this woman is and I hope now the cameras are gone that her daughter is brave and strong enough to realize this. Horrible show but what kept my interest was the insanity of many of these mothers and the disbelief that there are really women out there like this.

Both mother and daughter should be in therapy not on TV both mother and daughter need psychiatric help and need to go to the psychiatrist very very badly.

Just like a car accident, you can't help but watch. Where do they find these people? I'll order "sick and twisted" from column A and "desperate and defiled" from column B....again and again. And then repeat.

I'm sorry but Sunhe is a horrible person both inside and out. Jason is not the best but he is an absolute saint for putting up with the constant head shaking from Sunhe. I can't believe Sunhe can really be like that in real life but if she is oh my what an insecure person she is. The rest of the moms are good and the show is pretty entertaining. Francia is a total babe hopefully she will find her true love. Paula seems like a good person but not sure why she is so hesitant to find someone herself. This is a lot better than the mama's boy show with the creepy boys in it. Overall a very entertaining show with some very awkward moments which create tv gold.

I had NO IDEA that people actually choose to be in a relationship with Nutters like this using their free will and not a SHOT GUN WEDDING scenario! :o My Lord, but these women are Manipulative, lying, conniving, pushy Monsters. Part of me feels sad for the men and women who get into a relationship (as a 3rd wheel for life) with these families, but hey, can't feel too bad because they saw what they were getting into (Literal QUICKSAND that will suck them down and suffocate them to DEATH) and they chose to Ignore the WARNING SIGNS and step right in. So, you make your hideous, nightmarish bed, then you Gotta lie in it. Curious how long these marriages will last and if anyone will SNAP and kill the Mother-in-laws in the very near future. Ughhhhhh.... don't waste your time with this, it has a few funny moments here and there because of the Full absurdity of these people, but over all it's will just set off your GAG REFLEX. Pass, don't say you weren't warned!! :o.

Obviously the rating for this is based on what it is - a reality show. If i was rating this against the dark knight it would obviously be a -10 lol but if u enjoy reality TV and want an easy watch i found this really entertaining. I think a lot of it is played up for the camera but there are definitely some strange ones on there! Easy trash tv to chill out too tho :)

A Psychological Torture series brought to you by TLC, sMothered, features mother daughter duos who need Christ and therapy. When the dad told the mom and daughter that they look like ghetto mermaids, we chuckled.

These daughters need to live their own life and their mothers need to leave them alone and let them be. How will they grow up and how will they learn from their mistakes and experiences. Girls live with out your moms directory she's living thru you. And you need to stop it. You deserve to live your own life in a way you see fit not your mom's way. Live where you want live to your fullest life and be happy. As long as you live under your mom's life you'll never have a life of your own and no man wants their mother-in-law in their marriage. I wish you all the best and hope you wake up before you lose everything.

Same thing as other shows involving overprotective mothers but with a different name. The people that write this garbage don't even have to think anymore. That way they can just keep cranking out this slop over and over again, just call it something else.

I can't believe tic thinks this a good show. These daughters have been brainwashed by their own mothers. I love my mother and I love my daughter. We were and are close. Never would I tell my daughter to leave her childs father because I was being so self centered and narcissistic and not getting my own way. It's his child too and giving her a bath is not gonna kill you. Never want my daughter to dress exactly like me all the time. These people need some serious help. And now bringing in the granddaughter. There is really something wrong about the deep seated codependency going on in this show. Sunhe really really needs to back the hell up.

Sunhe is an abusive and manipulative wanna be husband/daddy. She needs DV awareness and perpetrator therapy, for real! It's so sick and crazy... and yet i cannot stop watching 😩🤣.. I feel so bad for the other kids and for the spouses involved in these messes! Sharing bathwater.. Getting mad at a FATHER for bathing his own child. Gross.. Get over your dirty bath self!! I think Cher is really sweet and they are "kind of" cute, just a little over the top. I completely agree with her husband being upset over the dental appointment. I feel like Cher realizes that they are over the top, but she's very easily influenced by her mother. Her daughter is not a Triplett, she looks identical to her Dad. Such a cutie!

And I can't stop watching. First, there are definitely plenty of mental health issues going on. There's lots of narcissism, borderline personality disorder (mostly with lots of narcissistic traits too... I'm borderline, so I'm definitely familiar), and total enmeshment. I don't know how much is real, but I do know these types of relationships exist, and it's so sad. Several of the daughters will never be independent or even think for themselves. (I am happy to see in season 5 some are so fed up they are starting to rebel the control.) I feel the worst for the significant others. Why would these daughters marry (or want to marry someone) if they'll never be good enough, never a true partner, never win over the mother. If you can't commit wholly to another person, then don't get involved. Marriage is sacred, and if you're religious at all you know that you are to become one with your spouse. "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." I love my daughter with all my heart (she's five), and my goal is to raise her into an adult, a productive, kind adult. I'll give advice when she wants it (maybe sometimes when she doesn't but needs it lol), but if she can't make her own decisions I have failed as a parent.

I gave the show a 9, because it's extremely entertaining and because I can't get enough of Kathy and Cristina. They're one of the only "normal" mother/daughter relationships. I'd rate most of the relationships 0/10.

I can't even get past the commercials on TLC for this in order to even watch this show I would never and will never waste my time but I came on here to say I miss the older shows on TLC that actually were worth their salt. This is just ridiculous and just plain sad.

I pray all this women are just acting. I know a lot of the things that they call reality TV are actually scripted, but in the same sense, I do hope that these women actually have a life. Some of the other reality TV shows actually have grit to them and people can relate to, but shows like this. Just make you feel sorry for the women or at least hope they got paid well for the show.

I have watched this show since the onset and my biggest issue is that TLC does have a stipulation that these people have ongoing therapy sessions on the show. There are a lot of mental illnesses in the world and I'm not sure what the diagnosis would be for these dependent relationships but there has to be one. I think the most absurd season is the latest, Season 5. There is a married man the thin and his mother in-law are obsessed with kne another. To the point that it seems like infidelity may occur or already has. These wives, boyfriends and girlfriends should run. There is no way they are able to have normal relationships when the moms are in the middle. TLC should consider therapy as part of the contract.
