Humane Telling of the Migrant Crisis
ForestMagusFilm27 May 2019
"Borderless" is a fair and compelling treatment of the migrant crisis in Europe and its aftermath. Lauren Southern's documentary presents the migrants point of view along with the views of those that are effected by the crisis. The film crew shot this evenly paced throughout and with a professional quality similar to what would be expected from a multi-million dollar documentary. She makes the subject and the people effected by the crisis the focus of the documentary instead of herself, unlike many contemporary documentary filmmakers who make themselves the main focus of their films. I recommend this film to anyone who wants to understand this issue from more than one perspective or ideological point of view. Professional independent journalism at its best. I would also recommend her other documentary "Farmlands" in addition to this one.

Most neutral documentary that I've ever seen
The film clearly depicts

  • how the refugees are maintained in the host country
  • fake sugar coating of EU countries of serving the needy of war & persecution
  • how the fake refugees get to cross the borders without any hassle
  • how the real refugees suffer under the hands of traffickers & terrorists
  • most importantly, how the refugee program is the one where none wins, but the fakers & NGO's which making business out of it

Surprising and Effective
thomascoker27 May 2019
Southern has a tremendous achievement with her second major documentary. If anyone can watch this documentary without being perched on the edge of their seat, they should be declared legally dead.

Southern gets out of the way of the story unfolding, and lets despairing refugees, human traffickers, and corrupt executives tell the tale in their own words. Whatever your best or worst intentions, the places that Borderless takes you will surprise you.

As a long-standing critic of Southern and the provocatively conservative viewpoints with which she was long aligned, I anticipated a bent and biased narrative, intertwined with a few disturbing facts to keep things grounded. I was wrong.

Borderless takes a compassionate but realistic look at what can only be described as a crisis forming at the edges of the Western world. Any argument that we're currently engaged in the most humane solution is crippled by the experiences of Turks, Gambians, Afghans, and many, many more.

If you don't let yourself see the truth of a sad and violent world that Borderless exposes, you're doing yourself a true disservice.

Watch it, and let the truth speak for itself.

The FIRST 10/10 documentary ive seen
akkadian0126 May 2019
Very confronting and very real! MORE people need to see this! this is directly whats happening with immigrants. Word needs to be spread...IF not for anything for the poor people whose land is being invaded AND the people who are coming across sacrificing everything to come across. IT IS UNSAFE and NOT the responsibility of the country they are fleeing to, but the country they are fleeing from!

Most comprehensive documentary about this crisis so far
nielsvdveer25 May 2019
Laura Southern has been capable of really putting a perspective on this crisis. On the one hand she has made it very personal with an incredibly deep look into the lives of local farmers in Turket, migrants from all over Africa and the Middle east and just locals in Europe. She shows that both ends of the arguments regarding the European migrant crisis where it's either an invasion on European culture or that all these people are in desperate help is both very incorrect. Please watch, and form an oppinion for yourself.

Excellent engrossing, unbiased documentary on the migrant crisis
jimmymil-5401727 May 2019
If you really want to know what is happening in Europe this is a must watch. Free from political dogma it delves into the tragedy playing itself out on the shores of the Mediterranean. It is a story of abused people and the exploiters making money out of it. And it is not a story - it is factual!

In my opinion, this is what journalism is all about. Comprehensive, seeking whatever might be the truth. Truly well done.

Shocking, Honest, Eye opening
agnostos-2433027 May 2019
Highly accurate, unbiased reporting on the (still) taboo topic of illegal immigration into Europe.

A mature piece of work devoid of the blinkers one typically finds in other politically correct documentaries.

Its finds have already sparked a criminal investigation into several NGO's operating in Greece.

Real journalism.

A must watch.

Excellent unvarnished look at the crisis
bobwfriesen27 May 2019
This documentary offers an unvarnished, on the ground view of the migrant crisis that has negatively impacted many European nations. It also provides a look at the migrants who have been sold a false bill of goods from those who financially benefit from their misery. Very well done.

Quite good but not breathtaking !

Quite ok documentary. Still very naive and less professional made, I guess because the lack of money and support. However almost all what was said and filmed, I have no doubt that it was true. People of EUROPE are tired of the constant pressures put on them by the leftists of their governments and this "Non Profit Organizations". Shame on them cause they are in a process to destroy Europe. The European Governments are barely able to take care of their people and the immigrants are living on hotels. No chance to get work they will be all their lives on the public payroll check. Shame to the idiotic politicians. I hope that more like this docs will come in the future.

Alt right propaganda trash

Garbage "documentary" made by a garbage alt-right troll named Lauren Southern. The cinematography is prosaic. The message is thin and weak. Just like her political ideologies.

Their lives were on the line making this expose!
HoosierBob27 May 2019
I watched this film last night and have always loved history and documentaries. This film is different because it involves a subject that is happening right now, and it becomes obvious two minutes in that the film crew was risking their lives making the film! Considering how clandestine some of the story is, one might expect it to appear to be low budget, but this is not the case whatsoever. The topic IS controversial because some people do not want this story to get out, and when the creator of the film posted it online for all to see...(for the sake of the victims), certain internet entities have tried to ban it from their venue altogether. Lux Et Veritas.

I recommend seeing this film, no matter how you feel about "illegal immigration"as the revelations you come away with will be educational and from an up close and personal level.

Document of the year!

Must see, especially for every EU resident. Sadly the release date was so near the elections, earlier release date would have benefitted the people to think through their vote and immigration and border control policy.

Thank you, Laura and crew!
smacdono27 May 2019
Picks up the start of the crisis with the Arab Spring, and depicts struggles many endure on these long journeys. Many of the European countries affected by the masses of mostly indigent males are seeing what happens to their sovereignty when people force themselves into these locations. Lots or warning signs were ignored, and many not reported. Laura covers the tremdous amounts of money passing hands to get people to foreign lands. Human trafficking is real, dangerous, and complicated, and not always successful to the people involved. Laura and crew traveled to many hot spots and dangerous places to tell this story. Having spent six years in the Middle East I can attest to the difficulties they found. Filming, meeting these people in the camps is threatening, especially to a white female. Very brave! I applaud your effort, and will share and support your work

Outstanding Work
lindamaxin27 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
If you want the non-political and honest truth about open migration, this is it! After 6 months of courageous and dangerous work, Lauren Southern and her team skillfully condensed the highlights of important information and broadening awareness into this documentary, which for sure they most likely wanted to add more to. The most disturbing part for me concerned the NGOs who purport altruistic and humanitarian goals but are actually adding to the misery and are complicit with taking advantage of migrants who are being promised a paradise on the other side of the green. This not to mention the globalist-socialist agendas starting all of this in the first place and exacerbating the problem. You-Tube has banned this video and that is a huge mistake because it will not stop the truth from coming out! And perfect timing given the recent results of the UK and European elections!!!

Borderless shows the truths that few people want to believe from the corruption of NGOs to the violence perpetrated upon innocent people not involved in the smuggling. Definitely worth your time if you want to know more of what's actually happening.

Peerless

"they will discover everything; they will find out everything; just a camera"

Where mainstream journalists fear to tread; one independent journalist had the tenacity and integrity to go on the ground and document the truth of this human trafficking crisis, and the talent to make it such compelling viewing.

A peerless documentary.

Generic and Confusing
LANGUISHMAN7 January 2020
The documentary is pretty much terrible on a technical aspect. The whole film is shot in a 'cinematic' lens that felt forced and uncompelling. The acting/performance is pretty much atrocious, and by the performance, I mean the unnecessary dubs during the documentary. Which make it felt that the immigrant/non-immigrant who was being interviewed was saying something that is not worthy of any emotional punches.

This film is a perfect example of what a documentary should never try to accomplish, and that is pretending to be more than what it is without any weight. The immigration problem in Europe is way more complicated than this and yet the director thought that it was a good idea to dumb it down to a 1 hour and 30 minutes documentary. Everything felt insincere, as Lauren Southern explained everything to the audience like a bunch of dummies.

It was an insult to every single documentary out there. Rather than try to make an informative piece, it was a political piece. Visually, it's dull. And on every single level of being a documentary, It tells a story that only one group can like it, which is the right-wing group who will love this documentary, judging from the astonishing 10-star reviews.

Well Done and Eye Opening
anborn300027 May 2019
Insightful look st a polarizing subject that has endless opinions but fewer facts. This documentary educated me and provided a lot of the facts the MSM simply will not or is unable to convey. This documentary is a good start, but I find it missing a bigger angle of compliant governments allowing this to happen when he outcome is well known. Few can deny there is a worldwide collusion amongst the leaders of the west to introduce this element into those countries with disastrous results. I would've like to see the bigger elements addresses although that could well be in the mix for a sequel. I gave this 9-Stars, an excellent doc.

Inspiring and Thoughtful Resurrection of Old Time Journalism
jsmittymd27 May 2019
Just when you thought investigative journalism had gasped it's last breath, along comes Lauren Southern with BORDERLESS. Reminiscent of war correspondents throughout history such as Ernie Pyle and Howard K. Smith, who literally risked their lives to get the story, Lauren Southern and her courageous team trace the roots of the current immigration crisis in Europe, all the while making what passes as professional journalism these days look cowardly and juvenile by comparison.

I assumed that the documentary would have a political bias to it, but the big surprise was that it took great pains to avoid politics. It simply reported the facts as told by the people involved, and avoided political commentary. This movie is nothing more than a factual account of what is happening on the ground in Europe as we speak. Ms. Southern's conclusions at the end of the film are shocking and heartbreaking, and should stand as a call to arms for all people who care about their country, their culture, and the fate of future generations.

Eye opening
krissnoopy27 May 2019
You always hear the political sides of the immigration debate. It was eye opening to hear the personal side of the debate. Its heart breaking and frustrating to see how immigrants are manipulated and to hear their stories. Politicans need to put their party alliances aside and listen to the people immigrating and the native people.

A raw, candid and heart pumping journey recorded on camera - censored by YouTube upon its premiere
TiT4TwaT28 May 2019
When I first heard Lauren was determined to produce this documentary, I anticipated many uphill challenges, deterrence, hinderance and even worse - the tyrannical prosecution or imprisonment. Don't forget Katie Hopkins was detained in South Africa for filming her documentary about violently threatened white farmers. But to my surprise, Lauren and her brilliant team were so courageous and clever to leap over the hurdles one after another and brought the truth out. Especially the secretly recorded conversation with the head of Advocates Abroad which exposes how those NGO's plot to bring illegal immigrants into the EU border with all the strategic and deceitful coaching. What amazes me even further, they even found the members of the illegal crossing group who paid those human traffickers to have an interview with. And on the other side of the sea, a filthy overcrowded migrant camp in Greece, over 10,000 people are accommodated. The interesting thing is, those migrants are violently assaulted and pursued by Islamists and ISIS fighters. They loathe the way MSM's inaccurate portrayal, coverage and reporting of the situation, especially their systematic negligence of these terrorists within the migrant groups in order to feed their political propaganda. Lauren even joined in action with a Bulgarian militia group in the forest to document how they vigilantly observe and detect illegal crossing people. It was really cool and also comforting to see that such serious volunteer work is heavily supported by both locals and government. To conclude my impression of this long awaited documentary, it is an honest, balanced and in-depth investigation instead of biased, selectively fact-based political demagoguery. Just marvellous and mind blowing. The corrupt tyrannical BigTech tried to block it from being viewed and circulated, just like they did to Tommy Robinson's Panodrama exposing the BBC's propagandist reporting. We the people should fight against such communist censorship till the end of time!

"Peoples Minds are Changed by Observation, not by Argument." Will Rogers
pearlypictures-7607529 July 2019
Lauren Southern delivers once again! 'Borderless' is not just another documentary to placate certain individuals on one side of any given political spectrum. The film begins with an open mind by the filmmakers themselves and does not attempt to sway the viewer into any particular belief that the audience would not arrive at on their own just by watching the incredibly stimulating footage the lovely Lauren Southern presents to us. The narrative is both informative as well as entertaining. Lauren and her crew manage to garner clandestine footage of officials who actually explain how they teach the refugees how to lie to authorities. In the end, Lauren herself explains the many gray areas of immigration and the fact that man has been unable to direct their own step in this troubling issue of refugee immigrants swarming into Europe and America. The scenes where some of the immigrants tell Lauren of perhaps 1,000 ISIS members who are within the immigration camp of 11,000 is both sobering and spine tingling. Lauren takes on a bravery in this film unseen in all other journalists as she enters into the actual areas of the refugee transport locations putting herself in harms way in order to gather the information for this tumultuously intense film, especially for a documentary. Lauren is not unlike Frances Fitzgerald who documented the goings on of Vietnam in 1966, only Lauren is a much better journalist! The film is every bit as good as her previous film 'Farmlands' and explores a vast amount of questions on the future of these immigrants as well as the countries they are seeking asylum. If you want to be properly educated on what is going on with immigration, let Lauren Southern explain it to you in detail with her own beautiful, compelling and motivating style in 'Borderless'.
