Photo by Spencer Chamberlain Wilkes-Barre is a tight knit community with a thriving hardcore scene. One of the bands proudly carrying the scene forward and gaining worldwide attention is One Step Closer, who blend myriad influences into catchy, driving and fun songs. One of those influences is anime, and guitarist Ross Thompson is constantly getting ideas, especially for merch, from everyone’s favorite medium. We chatted with Ross about their new record All You Embrace (which is out now), the impeccable drip of Initial D , the community aspect of hardcore, anime, and his hometown. You've been traveling all over North America the past few months. How has that tour been? Ross Thompson : Yeah, it's been like nonstop. Right now we're home for about two months. So it's nice to kind of shut my eyes and take a little break from One Step Closer for a minute, which is nice.

Meghan McCain will not take a little time to enjoy The View anytime soon as she says she will not return to the daytime talk show.
McCain is shutting down the possibility of returning to the ABC program and says she doesn’t talk to any of the current co-hosts on-air.
“There’s not a chance in hell,” McCain told Page Six of producers ever asking her to return, even as a guest.
The political commentator also acknowledged that she doesn’t want to do it either, adding, “I’ve had kids since then. I really like my life right now and I feel like it’s taken me a long time to sort of get to a place where people are seeing me as more serious.”

The sitcom “Girls5eva” follows the attempted comeback of a fictional girl group that peaked in the early 2000s, now reunited as middle-aged women. But headed into its third season, it’s “Girls5eva,” not just Girls5eva, that’s trying to start anew. After two critically acclaimed, if evidently little-watched, seasons on Peacock, the show has been resurrected by Netflix, which has bankrolled a fresh batch of episodes and made the entire back catalog available to its massive audience of over 260 million global subscribers — many of whom will encounter “Girls5eva” for the first time as a Netflix original.
Once upon a time, Netflix made a name for itself as a place where cult favorites could find the fan base they deserved, making its rescue of a previously canceled project a retro throwback in itself. “Arrested Development” got a second life as a poster child for the possibilities of TV’s new normal...

This article contains spoilers for "Yellowjackets."
In the second season of "Yellowjackets," Misty Quigley (Christina Ricci) and her reluctant bestie Natalie Scatorccio (Juliette Lewis) have been separated — one friend being kidnapped by a cult will do that. So now, Misty has a new partner in (solving) crime, Walter Tattersall (Elijah Wood). They're both part of the "Citizen Detective" online forum and Walter is hot on the trail of the disappeared artist Adam Martin (Peter Gadiot).
Misty always downvotes his theories — for good reason, because Shauna (Melanie Lynskey), another of her semi-friends, is the one who killed Adam. Misty even helped her clean up the crime scene back in season 1. However, Walter is a longtime admirer of "AfricanGrey" and when Misty turns to the forum for help in finding Natalie, he orchestrates an in-person meeting between them — both of them show up to it having gleaned each other's real names. As of the most recent episode,...

New Delhi, Feb 27 (Ians) The drive to eliminate sickle-cell disease is a multi-sectoral mission leveraging community mobilization and stakeholder collaboration, Niti Aayog’s Member, Health, Dr V.K. Paul said on Monday.
Addressing the Post Budget Webinar ‘Leaving No Citizen Behind’, he said that elimination of the disease is an integral part of achieving the holistic vision of health for all in India.
“We have to make a collation at the ground level that connects each and every stakeholder. We need to make this as Jan Andolan to reach the last mile,” Paul said, emphasising on the need to generate awareness of sickle-cell disease wherein “opportunity testing” is encouraged, as it would expedite treatment from those already suffering from the disease.
He also stressed on the role of Ministry of Tribal Affairs in community mobilisation and stakeholder collaboration in defining the medium and modes for reaching affected tribal areas. “It...

Star Citizen fans are upset by the latest series of update delays which once again negatively impact the already controversial development trajectory of the game.
Recently, the Star Citizen developers posted what they call a “Roadmap Roundup” which includes several delays to previously announced features and updates. Most of the delays largely focus on the technical side of the game. For instance, it seems a server to client update has been delayed as well as an update to the game’s death animations.
Some of the more substantial content delays include the removal of a PvP bounties system (which was seemingly never meant to be publicly discussed in the first place) and a delay of the release of the game’s latest world, Crusader.
There are a few problems with these delays in the minds of some Star Citizen fans. Some of the delays cause problems in and of themselves.

"'Green Arrow' initially applauds these efforts, until the Citizen turns judge, jury and executioner. Can you guess what bloviating billionaire is next on his hit list? Also, a little birdie told us that help for Oliver is on the way-but we're not singing who it is just yet..."
