This episode was extremely brutal and well done . I think people are off put by the show for obvious reasons pertaining to its content. I think it shows beyond just the addicts struggling with the opiate crisis in America, and goes into the criminal side which involves dirty cops, murder, extortion, etc.. The actual drug dealers and suppliers are on the forefront of this series , and it goes into the darker side of the drug world. At first I wasn't to sure about Hightown , but the more I watched the more I got into it. It's almost done with the first season and I'm really hoping it can carry into a 2nd season as good as the first.

This show!!!! Really hurtling toward the end of the season with such strong episodes. High Town builds fully realized (albeit complex and flawed) characters who you can't help but root for and scream at as they make their choices. While the content can be difficult to watch at times, it's important that the darkness is balanced with the attention to character.
